This site runs a modified Qwasm engine and the freely licensed LibreQuake demo. No proprietary Quake game data is distributed. The Git repository contains integration source; compiled runtime files and corresponding-source archives are generated separately for this site.
Quake / Qwasm engine
The engine and qev's native modifications are licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later. Original Quake source: Copyright © 1996–1997 Id Software, Inc.; later Qwasm and qev contributors retain their respective notices. These components are provided without warranty.
- GNU GPL license
- Corresponding engine source, qev modifications, build scripts and SDL2 source
- Exact upstream revisions and engine source digest
LibreQuake demo
The demo is the SHA-256-verified LibreQuake v0.09-beta Lite release, plus qev's derived one-grunt test encounter. Artwork, models, textures and sounds use BSD-style licenses; QuakeC gamecode, progs.dat and pop.lmp are GPL-2.0-or-later. The original notices and credits are retained verbatim in the bundled notice, along with the local installer's provenance.
- Complete demo notices, credits and license texts
- Corresponding release-tag gamecode source and build information
- pop.lmp generator source and GPL notices
- Upstream LibreQuake source
Runtime libraries and models
- Kevala license · Third-party notices · Pinned Kevala source (built from source with Rust 1.95.0; exact provenance in the deployment manifest)
- SDL2 license (source included in the engine archive)
- Emscripten licenses · Toolchain source
Model weights are not bundled with this deployment. Selecting a model downloads its pinned pack from the upstream provider and caches it in your browser. See the upstream Laya, Kev and Kevala pack pages for model notices and terms.
